Club Brugge reached an agreement with France's Stade Reims on the arrival of 19-year-old French-Senegalese striker Mamadou Diakhon. He signed a four-year contract and immediately joined the Blauw-Zwart selection.
Diakhon made his debut against Olympique Lyon in May 2023, at the age of 17, and subsequently played 41 games for Stade Reims in the Ligue 1. He signed his first professional contract with the French club in the summer of 2023.
The French youth international represented France at U20 and made his debut for the French U18 in March 2023 in a practice match against Germany, in which he immediately scored a goal.
Mamadou eventually signed a contract until 2029 with Club Brugge.
