STATSports provides player performance insights in the coming years

STATSports will provide player performance insights

Club Brugge teamed up with STATSports, a renound company in performance tracking and analysis, for the next three years. The STATSport system will help the staff to keep track of the players' fitness.

STATSports is a data company that maps the players' physical performance through GPS tracking. They monitor every moment, acceleration, total distance and high intensity runs on the Basecamp training ground and during the games at Jan Breydel. This will give the physical coaches tools to follow along live and intervene if necessary.

Eddie Robb, physical coach of the first team, is happy with this cooperation: "Working together with STATSports was a no brainer, really. Their technology is one of the best. The accuracy of the data, the reliability and the user friendly interface means we can trust the data and simply work with it so we can communicate with the other coaches and players."

The STATSport technology allows Club to analyze every training session and match in detail, because the physical readiness of every player can be monitored from closeby. Coaches will be able to make adjustments in the training workload, diet and so on.

STATSport co founder and COO Sean O'Connor is delighted to have Club as a new partner: "Since the Belgian Football Association and a number of other teams in the Pro League are already a STATSport client, we are thrilled that we can add Club Brugge. They are a household name in Belgian and European football. We feel that, together with our technology and their forward-thinking approach to football, we can make great strides in terms of football performance."
