Next Wednesday, Club Brugge will be kicking off its 6th CL game against English giants Arsenal. From 19h15 until 20h30, we'll be challenging our fans to create a live artwork through action painting, located in the North Stands.
A blank canvas awaits in the second part of a piece of art that symbolises the City of Bruges. A city blessed with a century old creative soul, and with a club that wants to show what it's got on the European stage. Masters the likes of Van Eyck and Memling inspired the world centuries ago with their artful strokes. Today the stage is set for a different work of art: our football stadium, at the Jan Breydel grounds. On the biggest stage of them all: the Champions League.
The first canvas of this two-piece has been drawn up and coloured by the players. Now it's time for our fans to add shape and colour to the artwork. Two works telling one story: from tradition to the present, from art to action. Both will be put up on auction as a whole during our Charity Night, with this creation not only echoing the past, a collaboration between fans and players, but also a great gesture for a good cause. From Bruges to Europe. An artwork that keeps growing.
