Club YLA is in the semi-finals of the Belgian Cup after an incredible 4-3 victory against Westerlo Ladies. It was a crazy game in which Club YLA had to pull out all the stops.
YLA started strong and dominated immediately, but a hand ball by Camps in a dangerous counter sent Club back to ten. The ensuing penalty kick made it 0-1 for Westerlo. Yet Club did not let its head drop, quite literally even, as Martlé neatly headed in the equalizer not much later, making it all square as the two headed for the dressing room.
After the break, Club went full steam ahead. Petry shot the 2-1 from a sharp angle, but Westerlo hit back and made it 2-2. It didn't stay the same for long, as Nelemans put in the 3-2 immediately afterwards. With a few substitutions, YLA tried to keep control, but in the closing stages Westerlo came alongside: 3-3.
Fortunately, Club still had an answer ready. Substitute Da Eira netted the 4-3 in the last minutes and gave YLA the deserved qualification.
After the 2-0 win against OHL Women in the eighth final and the 4-3 win against Westerlo Ladies in the quarterfinals, Club YLA continues its strong streak. The next challenge follows on December 20: Essevee Women away in the Lotto Super League.
