With three international participations, Club NXT see the world

What is a Summer break to most is not exactly a break as such at Club Brugge's youth department. Three of Club NXT's youth squads will be participating in several international tournaments across two continents. An excellent opportunity for our youngsters to see how they measure up with other playes of other (top) teams, to gain valuable experience and to further develop their passion for the game.

Club NXT U15 | Universal Youth Cup Dingnan (China)

Our U15s will be heading for China where they are set to compete in the Universal Youth Cup Dingnan. Leaving on 17 August, they will be playing from 20 to 23 August, the tournament scheduled at the Dingnan National Youth Center. With most of the teams of Chinese heritage, a couple of renowned international clubs have also sent a delegation, such as Paris Saint-Germain (France), Red Star Belgrade (Serbia), PAOK (Greece), BLISPI (Indonesia) and Carrarese Calcio (Italy). The journey back is planned for 25 August.

Club NXT U19 | Otten Innovation Cup (Eindhoven)

Heading for the Netherlands, our U19s will be one of the teams at the Otten Innovation Cup in Eindhoven, with an international field with eight top teams. Blue and Black has been set up in Group A, and will be taking on RB Leipzig on Friday 15 August (kick-off at 15h). Two more games follow on Saturday 16 August: Benfica SL at 11h, and later on hosts PSV Eindhoven at 14h30. On Sunday 17 August, the Finals round starts, including the Grand Final at 17h. Other teams participating are among others Chelsea FC, Atletico Madrid, AS Monaco and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC.

Club NXT U16 | Next Generation Trophy (Salzburg)

Salzburg is the venue for the Next Generation Trophy, featuring our U16s. Leaving on 13 August from Brussels, they will be taking part in a tournament running from 14 to 16 August. Club Brugge has been set up in Group D, with two games on Thursday 14 August against Yeleen Olympique (kick-off at 15h15) and New York Red Bulls (kick-off at 17h25). The Final rounds will be played on Friday, with the absolute final on Saturday 16 August.

In offering the opportunity to play these international tournaments, Club NXT highlights its ambition to allow its players to grow, not only on a national stage, but also internationally. The tournaments will present the players with a learning curve, and offer tomorrow's talents the opportunity to shine.
