After 10 weeks of sports in and around the Jan Breydel Stadium, guided by professional coaches and carried by the energy of Blauw-Zwart, the fifth edition of the Club Brugge Bootcamp is over. No fewer than 105 participants took part in the Club Brugge Foundation program this spring, working week after week on their fitness, health and personal goals.
Every Wednesday evening, participants gathered at the stadium for a varied workout supervised by CTRL Gym and Club Brugge Foundation volunteers. The sessions combined cardio, strength, fitness, flexibility and stability, each tailored to the level of the participants. From absolute beginners to experienced athletes, everyone had the chance to train at their own pace.
Training in unique places in the stadium
What makes the Club Brugge Bootcamp special is the unique setting. Participants did not just exercise next to the stadium, but for ten weeks moved through recognizable places in and around Jan Breydel: along the turf, across the stands, through the stairwells and catacombs, in the players' areas and at other inspiring locations within the stadium environment.
That stadium experience gave each training session an extra dimension. Participants were challenged to push their limits, but did so in an accessible and motivating atmosphere. The program proved again that exercise is not only healthy, but also binding, enjoyable and achievable for everyone.
Stronger together
The Boot Camp was about more than physical exertion alone. Over ten weeks, a strong group feeling grew among the participants. Training together, encouraging each other and making progress ensured that for many the Wednesday evening became a regular moment to look forward to.
With this project, Club Brugge Foundation wants to get people moving in an accessible way and encourage them to choose an active and healthy lifestyle in the long term. The combination of professional guidance, group dynamics and the inspiring stadium context makes the Bootcamp a strong health project within the Foundation's operations.
Making progress visible
New this year were optional pre- and post-measurements for participants in the full series. One week before the start and one week after completion, participants were able to get measured at CTRL Gym. This gave them a clear picture of their personal progress and allowed them to experience for themselves the impact 10 weeks of focused exercise can have.
This extra follow-up gave the program even more substance. The Boot Camp was not only a sporting challenge, but also a concrete way to consciously work on health, fitness and personal growth.
Congratulations to all participants
With more than 100 participants, ten successful sessions and many enthusiastic reactions, Club Brugge Foundation proudly looks back on a successful fifth edition of the Club Brugge Bootcamp. We thank all participants for their commitment, enthusiasm and positive energy. Club Brugge Foundation is already looking forward to the next edition of Club Brugge Bootcamp in 2027!
