The first Player of the Month trophy of 2026 goes to Aleksandar Stanković. Our Serbian midfielder enjoyed an excellent month of January and came out on top in the poll with 81% of the votes, ahead of Mamadou Diakhon and Romeo Vermant.
For the second month in a row, the voting among the Blue-and-Black fans was almost unanimous. Once again, they chose Aleksandar as the clear winner of the Player of the Month award. After training, he received the trophy, which he adds to the other trophies he had already received earlier this month for his strong performances against Olympique de Marseille (Man of the Match – UEFA Champions League) and Zulte Waregem (Man of the Match – Jupiler Pro League).
The numbers speak for themselves. In January, Stanković was decisive on six occasions: two goals and two assists in the Champions League, complemented by two decisive assists against Zulte Waregem in the Jupiler Pro League.The final result leaves little room for interpretation. With 81% of the votes, Stanković wins the election by an exceptional margin. Mamadou Diakhon and Christos Tzolis complete the podium.
